ThePanelwillprovideadvice to thePolice
andCrimeCommissionerandChiefConstable
on theeffectivenessof thearrangements
inplace toensurequality,andgoodvalue
localpolicing. Itwillalsoensure that
recommendations fromHMICandother
organisationsare implemented satisfactorily.
Applicants shouldhave relevantexperience
of strategicplanning, riskandperformance
management, ideallyacquiredwithin senior
roles ineither thepublic, thirdorprivate
sector.Theywillalsobeexpected to scrutinise
financial informationandprocessesandhave
knowledgeofbestgovernancepractice.
Appointmentswillbe foraperiodof four
years, starting June2013and it ishoped that
applicantswill represent the richdiversityof
Nottinghamshire’scommunities.ThePanel is
expected tomeet four timesayear.
Anannualallowanceof£900willbe
availablealongside re-imbursementof
mileageorpublic transportcosts.
